The Kogi State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo, has praised Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, describing her as one of the most influential lawmakers from the state since Nigeria returned to democracy in 1999.

Gambo made the remarks on Friday in Lokoja while receiving a delegation of PDP members, where he also called on voters in Kogi Central to support the senator’s re-election bid in 2027.

He described Akpoti-Uduaghan as a “rare breed politician,” noting that her leadership style has contributed significantly to the visibility and development of Kogi State.

According to him, the senator has remained loyal to the PDP and continues to strengthen the party’s structure across the state.

“She has displayed leadership qualities in an unprecedented manner. When she speaks, members listen. She is our leader at the state level, and we are proud of her stewardship,” Gambo said.

He further stated that her performance in the 10th National Assembly has set her apart within her first term, adding that her representation has placed Kogi Central in the national spotlight.

“She is the best senator Kogi has ever had since 1999. She is a winning team, and we cannot afford to change a winning team. Another term for Senator Natasha will be for consolidation and greater impact,” he added.

The PDP chairman also highlighted her empowerment initiatives, which he said include support for widows, youths, and small business owners, as well as the distribution of vehicles, equipment, and learning materials.

He noted that her developmental efforts have increased her acceptance across the senatorial district, citing projects such as school construction, road rehabilitation, and market upgrades.

“Her name is now a household name across Kogi Central. Her record is unblemished, and no one can fault her integrity,” Gambo said.

He urged party members to remain united behind the senator, describing her as a key unifying figure within the PDP in Kogi State.
