Trump Threatens Military Action Against Iran as High-Stakes Talks Begin in Pakistan

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that American warships are being armed and ready for possible military action against Iran if ongoing diplomatic efforts fail.

Speaking in an interview with the New York Post, Trump disclosed that U.S. naval forces are being reloaded with advanced weaponry in preparation for a potential strike.

“We have a reset going. We’re loading up the ships with the best ammunition, the best weapons ever made — even better than what we did previously and we blew them apart,” he said.

He added that failure to reach a deal would trigger decisive military action.

“And if we don’t have a deal, we will be using them, and we will be using them very effectively,” Trump stated.

Earlier, Trump posted a brief and cryptic message on his social media platform, Truth Social, referring to a “WORLD’S MOST POWERFUL RESET!!!”

Meanwhile, U.S. Vice President JD Vance has arrived in Islamabad to lead the American delegation in high-level talks with Iranian officials this weekend.

Vance warned Tehran against undermining the negotiations, cautioning that Washington expects serious engagement as tensions remain high.

The talks are seen as a critical moment in U.S.-Iran relations, with the outcome likely to determine whether diplomacy prevails or military options are pursued.
