APC Begins Sale of Expression of Interest Forms Ahead of 2027 Elections

Abuja — The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the commencement of the sale of expression of interest forms nationwide in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

The announcement was made in a statement shared on the party’s verified X (formerly Twitter) handle on Tuesday.

According to the APC, female aspirants, youths, and persons with disabilities are required to purchase the expression of interest forms and pay 50 per cent of the prescribed nomination fees for the offices they intend to contest.

The party also stated that the existing zoning arrangement for offices at the National Working Committee (NWC) level remains in force across states and geopolitical zones. It added that state and senatorial executive congresses will hold concurrently with state congresses.

However, the APC disclosed that Ekiti, Osun, Rivers states, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) are excluded from the ward, local government, and state congresses. The affected areas will nonetheless participate in the election of three delegates each to the national convention.

The party further explained that all forms will be filled online, and access to both expression of interest and nomination forms will only be granted after payment verification and validation by the National Secretariat.

“All payments must be made in full directly into the designated bank accounts of the All Progressives Congress (APC),” the statement said.

The development signals the ruling party’s early preparations ahead of what is expected to be a keenly contested 2027 general election.
