Abuja — The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (rtd), has hinted that he may soon formally join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), describing himself as being in a “political transition.”
Speaking on Sunday Politics, a programme on Channels Television, Musa said he was grateful to the APC for providing the platform through which he served first as Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) and now as Minister of Defence.
According to him, his decision to align with the ruling party is driven by loyalty and support for President Bola Tinubu, whom he said requires total backing to deliver on his mandate.
“I’ve not transitioned yet. I’m in transition. I think I’ll become a politician, a member of the APC, definitely,” Musa said.
The former CDS added that President Tinubu deserves full support, stressing his readiness to stand by the President in every possible way.
“Mr President needs all support, totally,” he stated.
Musa’s comments have sparked reactions across political circles, with analysts interpreting the remarks as a strong signal of his imminent entry into partisan politics under the APC banner.
