Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, has stated that President Bola Tinubu is unlikely to abandon Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, in favour of Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, amid the ongoing political tension in the state.

Speaking on ARISE News on Tuesday, Fayose emphasised that the resolution to the crisis ultimately depends on the parties involved. He noted that those who refuse to humble themselves and pursue peace are destined to “run helter-skelter.”

“He needs help. When you don’t praise God and you refuse to humble yourself and look for peace, you will just be running helter-skelter. What he is looking for is inside his pocket,” Fayose said.

Directing his remarks to Nigerians, the former governor asserted, “Let me say this to Nigerians, the President that I know will not get rid of a Wike for a Fubara.”
