The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted mostly sunny weather across the country from Monday to Wednesday, with occasional clouds and isolated thunderstorms in some southern states.
In its Sunday weather outlook released from Abuja, NiMet said the northern region will enjoy clear skies throughout the forecast period. The central region is expected to experience sunny skies with occasional cloud patches, while the southern region will see sunny weather interspersed with clouds.
Residents in Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Edo, Delta, Ondo, Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Imo, Abia, and Osun States should expect isolated thunderstorms and light rains later in the day.
For Tuesday, the northern region will remain sunny, the central region will have sunny skies with a few clouds, and the southern region will continue to experience sunny weather with prospects of light rains in several states, including Abia, Edo, Ogun, Ondo, Delta, Lagos, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, and Bayelsa.
On Wednesday, parts of Jigawa, Yobe, and Borno are expected to have sunny and hazy conditions, while the rest of the northern region will remain sunny. The southern and some central states may experience light rains later in the day.
