Abuja – Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa (retd), has credited divine intervention for shaping his journey to national leadership, recounting how God lifted him during challenging times.
Speaking at a recent service at Conquerors Global Assembly in Abuja, Musa shared his testimony, emphasizing that faith and perseverance remain crucial in overcoming adversity. The service, attended by Musa and his wife, was led by the church’s founder, Bishop David Abioye, and his wife.
“Even when the enemy thought they were putting us down, they did not know God was going to lift us up,” Musa said. “In their small mind they conspired and thought they had won. But as long as you have God as your pillar, you will win.”
The minister also offered prayers for the continued growth of the ministry and encouraged worshippers not to lose hope, reminding them that God “will never give up on us.”
Reflecting on the role of challenges in personal growth, Musa said, “If you are never challenged, you can never improve in life. As Nigerians, we know we are strong, but we are stronger together with God Almighty.”
He urged citizens to support the nation by avoiding persistent negative narratives, warning that “if you continue to talk down on your country, you don’t mean well.” Musa further called on Christians to live out their faith, stressing that true impact comes from practising what one professes.
