Dangote Petroleum Refinery has officially launched nationwide sales of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at a pump price of ₦739 per litre, available at all MRS Oil Nigeria Plc filling stations. This landmark move is aimed at making fuel more affordable for Nigerians while stabilizing the downstream petroleum market.
With more than 2,000 MRS outlets across the country, the reduced price is set to reach consumers everywhere. In a statement, the refinery praised marketers who have adopted the new pricing and urged others to follow suit in support of national economic recovery.
“We commend MRS and other marketers who have demonstrated patriotism by reflecting the reduced price at the pump. We call on others to join this effort to support Nigeria’s economic recovery,” the refinery said.
Traditionally, the festive season has seen fuel scarcity and soaring prices, but Dangote Refinery’s intervention ensures steady supply and lower costs at a critical time. With a guaranteed daily output of 50 million litres, this initiative is reshaping supply dynamics across the country.
By producing locally at scale, the refinery is helping Nigeria reduce dependence on volatile international markets, conserve foreign exchange, stabilize the Naira, and strengthen energy security. Households, businesses, and transport operators stand to benefit from the sustained price cut and reliable fuel supply.
The refinery also issued a warning to unscrupulous operators attempting to create artificial scarcity, urging regulatory authorities to act decisively.
“Any attempt to manipulate supply or create artificial scarcity to frustrate recent price reductions is unpatriotic and unacceptable. We urge vigilance and firm action against such practices, especially during this festive period,” the statement added.
Consumers were advised to avoid paying inflated prices and to report stations selling above the official ₦739 per litre by calling 0800 123 5264.
Dangote Refinery reaffirmed its long-term commitment to steady fuel supply, price moderation, and national energy security.
“Our goal remains clear: to ensure consistent access to high-quality petroleum products at affordable prices, support economic stability, and reduce dependence on imports,” the refinery concluded.
