Nigerian rap superstar Olamide has addressed the long-standing misconception that he is shy. In a recent interview on Ada’s Room, the YBNL boss, popularly known as Baddo, explained that his calm demeanor should not be mistaken for shyness.
“One thing I wish people could understand about me is I am not shy, I am just laid back,” he told host Ada.
When asked to clarify the difference between being “shy” and “laid back,” Olamide said, “Shy is when you don’t have the confidence and the charisma to stand people or look them in the eye or have conversations with them. But being laid back is you just don’t want to be bothered. People think I am shy, but I am not.”
Olamide’s remarks offer fans a rare glimpse into his personality, showing that behind his reserved exterior lies a confident and unbothered star.
