A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Esan South-East Local Government Area of Edo State, Victor Eboigbe, has commended Governor Monday Okpebholo for what he described as the “rebuilding of Edo’s development engine” within his first year in office.
Eboigbe, in a statement on Thursday, said the governor’s leadership had been marked by purpose, planning, and people-centred governance, which have collectively repositioned the state for growth.
“Your first year in office has been remarkable. You have taken what was a badly accidented Edo vehicle, repaired it, and put it right back on the road,” Eboigbe stated. “That symbolic transformation captures how your administration has revived the state’s development engine.”
The APC chieftain praised Okpebholo’s strides in infrastructure renewal, security collaboration, and governance reforms, describing them as “clear signs of a government determined to serve.”
He also lauded the governor’s visionary agenda and strategic investments, saying they demonstrate a genuine commitment to rebuilding Edo on a foundation of sustainable progress.
“Your leadership reflects a blend of courage, compassion, and clarity of purpose,” he added. “You have endeared yourself to the people not only through visible results but also through your empathy and understanding of their struggles and aspirations.”
Eboigbe noted that the governor’s humility and hands-on approach have rekindled the confidence of Edo people in public leadership.
