The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has commenced the physical verification of credentials and travel documents for foreign-trained Nigerian graduates who registered for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Service Year.
The exercise, according to the agency, will run from Monday, November 10, to Wednesday, November 12, 2025, across designated centres nationwide.
In a statement titled “Notification of Physical Verification of Credentials and Travel Documents of Foreign-Trained Graduates for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Service Year”, the NYSC management said the process is for prospective corps members whose documents are yet to be physically verified after completing online registration.
The statement, shared on the NYSC’s official X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday night, listed the verification centres as follows:
- NYSC Secretariat, 2 Abakaliki Road, GRA, Enugu
- Shadawanka Military Barracks, Bauchi
- NYSC Orientation Camp, Kubwa, Abuja
- Bukavu Military Barracks, Fagge, Airport Road, Kano
- NYSC Orientation Camp, Iyana Ipaja, Lagos
- NYSC Secretariat, New Ikirun Road, Osogbo
- NYSC Secretariat, 40 Ikwerre Road, Port Harcourt
- Eagle Officers Mess, Gingiya Military Barracks, Gusau Road, Sokoto
- NYSC Secretariat, Federal Secretariat Complex, Yola
To ensure orderliness and prevent overcrowding, the NYSC instructed all prospective corps members to strictly adhere to the date, time, and venue indicated on their verification slips.
“All participants must present the original copies of their credentials and travel documents as uploaded online during registration,” the statement read.
Medical graduates are further required to present their licences, registration certificates, and other relevant documents issued by their professional bodies, both online and at the centres.
The NYSC also directed foreign-trained graduates who obtained their qualifications abroad to submit original copies of evaluation letters issued by the Federal Ministry of Education at its headquarters in Abuja, and upload acknowledged copies online.
Emphasising the importance of the exercise, the Corps warned that “only persons physically seen with credentials, verified, and cleared would be deployed, exempted, or excluded from National Service.”
The management urged all concerned graduates to comply fully with the instructions and appear at their designated centres as scheduled.
This comes after the NYSC extended the online registration period for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ mobilisation by 48 hours due to reported network challenges. The new deadline lapses by midnight on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
The verification exercise is part of ongoing efforts by the NYSC to curb the rising trend of fake or unaccredited foreign certificates from “degree mills” abroad.
