The Northern Socio-Political Rights Network (NSPRN) has urged residents and stakeholders in Zamfara State to exercise restraint over a planned protest scheduled for Tuesday, October 7, cautioning that it could disrupt ongoing security operations in the state.

In a statement issued on Monday by its President, Mohammed Farouk Lawal, the group emphasized the need to prioritize peace and cooperation to support the fight against insecurity in the region.

While acknowledging the state’s persistent security challenges, NSPRN appealed to the protest organizers to reconsider their decision, noting that dialogue and collaboration remain the most effective paths to lasting peace.

The organization also advised Governor Dauda Lawal to maintain close coordination with the Federal Government and security agencies to ensure the safety and welfare of citizens.

Reaffirming its commitment to peace and unity, NSPRN expressed optimism that calm and cooperation would continue to prevail across Zamfara State.
