France’s Foreign Minister, Jean-Noel Barrot, has declared that Hamas has lost its battle in Gaza and must now accept “surrender” under the peace framework proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump.
Speaking in Saudi Arabia on Thursday, Barrot told AFP that the militant group “bears a very heavy responsibility for the catastrophe experienced by the Palestinians.”
He stressed that Hamas has “lost” and should step aside, citing a recent United Nations resolution that calls for the group to be excluded from the leadership of any future Palestinian state.
