Call Me If You See a Threat – Gov Otti Tells Abia Residents

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has urged residents to promptly alert security agencies—or even reach out to him directly—whenever they notice suspicious activities that could threaten peace in the state.

Speaking at the Government House, Umuahia, during Nigeria’s 65th Independence Day celebration, Otti assured citizens that his administration remains vigilant to guarantee their safety.

“We don’t sleep, and the reason we don’t sleep is so that you can sleep. If you see something, say something—call the police, DSS, Army, or just call me,” the governor said.

He commended the state’s Service Commanders for their commitment to maintaining security, while encouraging residents to continue supporting security agencies to boost their morale and effectiveness.

The governor also called on Nigerians not to lose hope despite the nation’s economic challenges, noting that Abia has recorded significant development strides in the 28 months of his administration.
