Tinubu Shows True Friendship, Unlike Atiku — Presidential Aide Daniel Bwala

Presidential aide Daniel Bwala has declared his loyalty to President Bola Tinubu over former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, citing differences in how both leaders and their associates handle relationships.

Speaking during a podcast with Nedu, Bwala, who serves as Special Adviser to the President on Policy Communication, said Tinubu and his circle demonstrated tolerance and maturity when he briefly joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), unlike Atiku’s camp, which he accused of hostility.

“I will tell you one thing that distinguished Asiwaju from Atiku. When I left Asiwaju and joined PDP, throughout the campaign, as boisterous as the campaign was, we maintained good relationships. Seyi Tinubu, my very good friend, Femi Gbajabiamila, James Faleke, Babajimi Benson, and others around Asiwaju — that’s true friendship,” Bwala said.

He explained that neither Tinubu nor his associates ever displayed anger or resentment towards him, even when they had reasons to.

By contrast, Bwala claimed Atiku’s allies publicly attacked him after the 2023 elections when he returned to his political base.

“Everybody around Atiku started frowning and going to the media cursing me — and that’s a reflection of what either the leader promotes or doesn’t tolerate,” he noted.

Concluding, Bwala stressed that based on his experience with both camps, his choice is clear: “If I come back to life on the evidence of these two, I would rather work with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.”
