ABUJA — Sokoto South Senator and former governor, Aminu Tambuwal, has launched a blistering attack on President Bola Tinubu, claiming the president lacks the understanding required to govern Nigeria effectively.
Speaking on Politics Today, a Channels Television programme, Tambuwal accused Tinubu of being out of touch with the federal system, citing the administration’s failure to appoint ambassadors more than two years into office.
“Tinubu has always been confined to his locality in Lagos, with due respect, and has never been a federal operator,” Tambuwal said.
He continued: “Tinubu does not understand the federal system. Up till now, we don’t have ambassadors. Two years with almost three months into the administration, what does that tell you? Tinubu lacks the knowledge of Nigeria as a country.”
Tambuwal further alleged that the president not only struggles with governance but also fails to grasp the complexities of Nigeria’s national fabric.
“Not only governance, Tinubu lacks the knowledge of the country; he lacks the knowledge that Nigeria’s fabric is made of,” the senator declared.
