Former President Goodluck Jonathan has received former Kano State governor and ex-National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, at his residence in Abuja.
Ganduje paid a courtesy visit to the former president, with a video of the meeting shared online on Wednesday.
Although details of the discussions were not made public, the meeting comes amid increasing political activities and realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Jonathan had, in recent days, expressed confidence in APC candidates contesting the Bayelsa East election ahead of the 2027 polls.
He made the remarks at his residence in Yenagoa when a delegation led by former Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John Jonah, paid him a visit.
The delegation included the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Samuel Ogbuku, and the Bayelsa State APC Chairman, Warman Weri Ogoriba.
The visit was reportedly aimed at introducing the APC candidates for the Bayelsa East election to Jonathan, a prominent political figure from the area.
