A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe State, Mohammed Bello, has announced his resignation from the ruling party.
Bello, a former senatorial aspirant for Yobe Zone A, described his decision as a step to “come out from bondage.”
His resignation was conveyed in a letter addressed to the APC Ward Chairman in Gwange, Damaturu metropolis.
“I am writing to formally notify you of my decision to resign my membership from the All Progressives Congress (APC) immediately,” the letter partly read.
According to him, the decision was reached after deep reflection on his personal values and the current direction of the party.
“After much deliberation, I have concluded that it is in my best interest and that of my community to step away from the party at this time,” he stated.
Bello confirmed that his resignation takes immediate effect.
