YEIDEP Postpones Business Grant Disbursement, Warns Applicants Against Fraudulent Claims

The Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalization Programme (YEIDEP) has announced the postponement of its business grant disbursement for Batch A applicants, initially scheduled to commence on October 20, 2025.

According to a statement issued by the Coordinator-General of the programme, Mr. Kennedy Iyere, the postponement became necessary to allow for a more transparent, accountable, and verifiable process that guarantees every qualified applicant receives their due benefits.

Mr. Iyere cautioned applicants to disregard misinformation circulating on social media platforms alleging that the disbursement exercise has already begun. He described such reports as false and the handiwork of internet fraudsters attempting to exploit unsuspecting Nigerians.

“We warn and caution all registered applicants and potential beneficiaries to ignore the fake news flooding social media, falsely reporting that YEIDEP’s business grant disbursement has started,” Iyere stated. “Internet fraudsters are behind these false claims, attempting to mislead and extort innocent Nigerians. Every benefit related to YEIDEP is completely free of charge. Please stay alert and avoid falling victim to criminal elements spreading fake information.”

The Coordinator-General reaffirmed that the programme remains committed to its founding principles of transparency, fairness, and inclusiveness. He announced that the official registration portal will reopen on Monday, October 27, 2025, for Batch B applicants, giving more Nigerians the opportunity to benefit from the initiative.

“We remain fully dedicated to the successful implementation of YEIDEP and to ensuring that every registered member receives their rightful benefits,” he added. “All future updates on disbursement and registration will be shared only through YEIDEP’s official communication channels, including its verified YouTube, Facebook, and other digital platforms.”

YEIDEP continues to serve as a platform for youth empowerment, economic inclusion, and national rehabilitation through entrepreneurship and innovation. The programme urges all applicants and members of the public to rely solely on its verified outlets for accurate information.
