Owerri – Ahead of the nationwide Ward and Local Government Area (LGA) congresses, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma met with key All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders at the Sam Mbakwe Executive Chambers, Government House, Owerri, urging members to prioritize unity and discipline to secure the party’s future.
Addressing party leaders, the Governor emphasized that the outcome of the congresses would shape APC’s trajectory in the state. He called for harmony among contenders, stressing that peaceful collaboration and inclusive leadership are essential for sustaining electoral success.
“I urge stakeholders to collaborate in reinforcing the party’s structure and enhancing its electoral prospects. APC’s success hinges on the cooperation and sincerity of its members,” Uzodinma said, adding that all voices within the party should be considered in decision-making.
He described APC as “a family bound by a common vision for development” and encouraged members to resolve disagreements through dialogue. The Governor further recognized the efforts of party leaders and grassroots mobilizers in expanding the party’s outreach, pledging his administration’s continued commitment to development and security in Imo.
Earlier, APC State Chairman MacDonald Ebere commended members for their active participation in the ongoing e-registration exercise and thanked the Governor for providing an enabling environment for the party.
Godwin Anawore, Chairman of the Committee for the Ward and LGA congresses, highlighted the importance of the exercise, describing it as crucial for the party’s success and lauding the Governor for his role in maintaining cohesion within APC.
The meetings set the stage for what party leaders describe as a “bright future” for APC in Imo State, underscoring unity and disciplined participation as key to upcoming victories.
