The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s fiscal revolution, describing it as a deliberate and disciplined effort to rebuild Nigeria “brick by brick.”
In a statement issued on Monday, the party’s spokesman, Hon. Seye Oladejo, praised the reform-driven leadership of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) under the Renewed Hope administration, noting that its transformation has become a model of institutional efficiency and financial integrity.
Oladejo said that at a time when global economies are facing turbulence and uncertainty, Nigeria’s resilience is a product of “deliberate financial engineering” anchored on sound policy, strategic management, and disciplined revenue administration.
According to him, “The ongoing transformation of the FIRS is a textbook example of how institutional reforms, when anchored on competence and integrity, can become the engine room of nation-building.”
The Lagos APC maintained that President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda identifies revenue stability as the foundation of national sovereignty. Through sweeping reforms at the FIRS and enforcement of fiscal discipline across all tiers of government, the administration is charting a path toward sustainable growth and economic independence.
“Each kobo collected through tax reforms is being reinvested into the people — in roads, schools, healthcare, security, and social investment programmes,” Oladejo added. “The Renewed Hope vision is simple but profound: to build a nation that funds its own future.”
He emphasized that the Tinubu administration’s financial reforms are not abstract policies but tangible instruments of transformation aimed at restoring confidence in government institutions and empowering citizens through visible development.
“This is what true nation-building looks like,” Oladejo concluded. “A Nigeria that generates wealth from within and uses it to uplift its people — that is the essence of the Renewed Hope vision.”
