Tinubu Not Timid, Only a Brave Leader Can Push These Reforms — APC Chieftain Ajiboye

A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Biodun Ajiboye, has said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not a timid leader, arguing that only a courageous person could embark on the far-reaching reforms currently being implemented by his administration.

Ajiboye made the assertion on Monday while speaking on Politics Today, a programme aired on Channels Television and monitored by DAILY POST.

According to him, President Tinubu has demonstrated uncommon bravery by taking difficult decisions in the interest of the country, even when such moves could affect his political future.

“Give me one person that has the ability and bravery of Tinubu. If Bola Tinubu were a timid person, he would not undertake most of the reforms he’s undertaking,” Ajiboye said.

He described the president as a patriot who prioritises the welfare of Nigerians over personal ambition, insisting that Tinubu is more concerned about the country’s long-term stability than his chances of re-election in 2027.

“This is a patriot who believes that the lives of Nigerians are more important than his returning to power in 2027. He’s been truthful and honest with the Nigerian people. He’s taking the bull by the horns,” he added.

Ajiboye also challenged the opposition to present a political figure with comparable capacity, courage, and experience, while citing Lagos State as a benchmark of Tinubu’s leadership credentials.

“Now tell me, among the opposition, one person that you think has the kind of intellect, bravery, and knowledge Tinubu has? Which state in Nigeria can compare with Lagos as we speak?” he asked.
