The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s greatest strength, expressing strong confidence in his ability to secure a second term in the 2027 general election.
Yilwatda made the remarks in Abuja during the APC North-West Youth Mobilisation Meet-and-Greet programme hosted by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Goronyo.
According to the APC chairman, several strategic factors are aligning in favour of President Tinubu’s re-election bid, including increased youth participation, emerging results from government policies, the party’s expanding national reach, and the deployment of data-driven mobilisation strategies.
He said Tinubu’s leadership style, combined with the APC’s deepening grassroots penetration, has further solidified the party’s status as the largest political party on the African continent.
“Our acceptance is growing across the country,” Yilwatda said. “Every day we keep on receiving more governors. Every day we keep on receiving more National Assembly members. We receive market women. We receive farmers. We receive students.”
He stressed that unity and loyalty within the party remain critical ahead of future elections, urging members to remain steadfast in their support for both the APC and the president.
“This party is your biggest asset. The President is our biggest asset,” Yilwatda said. “Let us stand by this party.”
The APC chairman’s comments come amid ongoing political realignments and early positioning ahead of the 2027 general elections, as parties intensify grassroots engagement and youth mobilisation nationwide.
