Shettima Chairs NEC Meeting at Presidential Villa, Governors Across Nigeria in Attendance

ABUJA — Vice President Kashim Shettima on Thursday presided over a session of the National Economic Council (NEC) held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The high-level meeting drew top political figures, including the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazak, as well as the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma.

Also in attendance were the governors of Zamfara, Jigawa, Lagos, Anambra, Gombe, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Benue, and Ondo states. The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, retired Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, was equally present.

Details of the council’s deliberations are expected to emerge later.
