Senator Katung Debunks Defection Rumours, Reaffirms Loyalty to PDP

Kaduna South Senator, Sunday Marshall Katung, has dismissed widespread rumours alleging his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a statement issued on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Media and Communications, Midat Joseph, Katung reaffirmed his commitment to the PDP and to the mandate entrusted to him by the people of Kaduna South.

“As of today, Senator Sunday Marshall Katung is a committed member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),” the statement read, stressing that any decision of such political weight would be announced transparently by the senator himself, not through speculation.

The lawmaker described the rumours as “needless distractions” from his core responsibility of delivering effective representation, legislative excellence, and attracting developmental projects to his senatorial district.

He urged constituents, the media, and the general public to disregard the unfounded reports.
