Rufai Oseni Knocks Gov Fubara: “You’re Celebrating Peace of the Graveyard After Being Bullied”

Arise Television’s Morning Show co-anchor, Rufai Oseni, has slammed Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, over his recent remarks following his return as governor, suggesting that Fubara has been “bullied and subdued.”

In a post on his X handle on Saturday, Oseni wrote:
“Fubara is celebrating peace of the grave yard, after he has been bullied and subdued. ‘Peace is better than war,’ he says. Play back all his tapes for him.”

The criticism comes on the heels of Fubara’s statewide broadcast on Friday, where he urged Rivers residents to reflect on the lessons of the six-month emergency rule imposed on the state by President Bola Tinubu.

Defending his actions during the crisis, Fubara said: “The costliest peace is cheaper than the cheapest war.”

He further explained that he chose to cooperate with Tinubu’s government and resisted calls to challenge the constitutionality of the emergency rule — a move he claimed was in the best interest of safeguarding peace, stability, and progress in the state.
