Ambassadorial nominee Reno Omokri has expressed appreciation to key members of the Senate following his appearance before the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs on Thursday.
In a message shared on his verified X handle shortly after the screening, Omokri extended gratitude to Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele, the committee chairman, Senator Sani Bello, and other lawmakers who took part in the exercise.
He also acknowledged Senators Adams Oshiomhole and Ali Ndume, who earlier engaged in a heated exchange during deliberations on his nomination.
“From the bottom of my heart, I sincerely thank the Distinguished Senate Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Distinguished Senator Sani Bello, and members of the committee, especially Distinguished Senators Adams Oshiomhole and Ali Ndume.
“The Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is indeed a place of honour,” he wrote.
Omokri’s nomination continues to draw public attention, with his screening adding yet another layer of political drama and anticipation ahead of a final Senate decision.
