Former presidential candidate, Peter Obi, on Monday visited Kado-Kuchi in Abuja to campaign for candidates of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the forthcoming Federal Capital Territory (FCT) area council elections.

The FCT council elections, which will determine chairmen and councillors across the six area councils, are scheduled to hold on Saturday, February 21, 2026.

Obi’s arrival in Kado-Kuchi drew a large crowd of supporters who gathered to receive him. In videos circulating online, enthusiastic residents were seen chanting slogans and openly declaring their backing for the ADC candidates.

Throughout the visit, voices from the crowd repeatedly echoed the call, “Our vote must count,” underscoring demands for credible and transparent elections.

The campaign stop forms part of broader efforts to mobilize grassroots support for the ADC across communities in the FCT ahead of the polls.
