Popular Nigerian TikToker, Peller, has revealed that Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele played a crucial role in helping him regain his freedom following his arrest in December 2025.
DAILY POST reports that the content creator was taken into custody after he was allegedly involved in a deliberate car accident in Lagos State. The incident prompted the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to order his arrest and prosecution over allegations of reckless driving.
Speaking during a brief interaction with Funke Akindele at the premiere of the movie Love Notes on Saturday, Peller publicly acknowledged her intervention during his time in detention.
Expressing gratitude, the TikToker stated that Akindele was instrumental in securing his release, describing her support as life-changing.
“She was the one who helped me when I was in prison. She helped my life,” Peller said.
The disclosure has since sparked reactions online, with many praising the actress for her quiet act of kindness and support for the embattled influencer.
