The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party has constituted a 24-member Governorship Primary Appeal Panel to review petitions from the recently concluded Osun State governorship primary ahead of the 2026 elections.
This follows the emergence of Adebayo Adedamola as the PDP governorship candidate after he secured 919 of the 957 valid votes cast in the primary held in Osogbo. His victory comes in the wake of the defection of the immediate past governor, Ademola Adeleke.
The party’s National Organising Secretary, Theophilus Shan, announced the development in a statement on Monday.
According to the PDP, the appeal sitting is scheduled for Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the Bauchi Governor’s Lodge, Tatari Ali House, behind the ECOWAS Secretariat in the Asokoro District of Abuja. Proceedings will commence at 11am.
The party emphasized that the panel will adhere strictly to its Constitution (2025 as amended), the Electoral Guidelines for Party Primaries, and the Electoral Act, 2022.
