The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), under the leadership of Taminu Turaki, has formally issued certificates of expulsion to Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, alongside several other recently expelled party members.
Turaki disclosed this on Tuesday while briefing journalists at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.
The affected individuals—including former Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose; the party’s National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu; and eight others—were earlier expelled for alleged anti-party activities. The party also dissolved its structures in Imo, Abia, Enugu, Akwa Ibom, and Rivers states following the series of internal crises.
According to Turaki, the expelled members were found guilty of actions considered detrimental to the unity and interests of the PDP, including involvement in multiple litigations that undermined the party.
He confirmed that the certificates of expulsion have been dispatched to all affected members through courier services.
