Osun APC Blasts Adeleke Govt as “Confused and Rudderless” Over Supreme Court Flip-Flop

OSOGBO — The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has slammed the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke, describing it as “confused, messy, and rudderless” following its inconsistent stance on the legal battle over withheld Local Government Councils’ funds.

The state government had initially sued the Federal Government over the seized funds but later withdrew the case, only to return to the Supreme Court on the same matter weeks later.

Reacting in a statement on Wednesday, the party’s Director of Media and Information, Kola Olabisi, said the back-and-forth reflects the lack of direction under Governor Adeleke’s leadership since 2022.

“Osun residents don’t need to look too far to know the state is in serious trouble under Adeleke. Almost everything has been in disarray since his inauguration,” Olabisi stated.

He accused the government of disrespecting the rule of law while engaging in blackmail and political intimidation to silence opposition voices and pressure federal authorities.

“It is shocking that the same government that hurriedly discontinued its suit at the Supreme Court less than six weeks ago has returned to the same court over the same issue with no fresh facts,” he added.

According to him, the inconsistencies of the Adeleke-led government are “a big proof” that the state’s future is endangered in the hands of the current administration.
