Super Eagles and Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has been crowned Sportsman of the Year at the 2025 GQ Türkiye Men of the Year Awards, held on Wednesday night.
The 26-year-old forward earned the honour after a spectacular debut season in Turkey, where he delivered 37 goals and seven assists in 41 matches, powering Galatasaray to the league title. His blistering performances also led the club to seal a €75 million permanent move from Napoli — a deal that set a new Turkish transfer record.
Osimhen has continued his brilliant form this season, already scoring 11 goals in 14 appearances for the Istanbul side, further solidifying his status as one of Europe’s most lethal forwards.
His recognition at the GQ Türkiye Awards adds to a growing list of accolades, marking another milestone in what has been an exceptional career trajectory for the Nigerian star.
