Victor Osimhen has reaffirmed his belief that the Super Eagles will book their place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Nigeria missed out on the 2022 edition in Qatar, but the team is now one step away from redemption after advancing through the playoffs. Eric Chelle’s men secured a commanding 4–1 victory over Gabon in Thursday’s semi-final, keeping their World Cup hopes alive.
The West Africans will battle the Democratic Republic of Congo in Sunday’s decisive final in Rabat.
Speaking to ESPN, Osimhen expressed full confidence in the team’s ability to finish the job.
“We can get it done,” he said. “We have the squad to actualize this dream of going to the World Cup because everyone wants to go to the World Cup.”
The Napoli forward remains optimistic that Nigeria’s quality and determination will carry them over the line.
