Oshiomhole Takes Aim at Atiku: “If He Couldn’t Fix PDP, He Can’t Fix Nigeria”

The lawmaker representing Edo North Senatorial District, Adams Oshiomhole, has taken a swipe at former Vice President Atiku Abubakar following his defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking on Politics Today, a Channels Television programme monitored by DAILY POST, Oshiomhole argued that Atiku’s inability to stabilise or reposition his former party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), raises doubts about his capacity to lead Nigeria.

“If Atiku, as a former Vice President under the PDP, could not fix the party, could not reorganize it, could not provide leadership or leverage the influence he once had, how can he claim he will fix Nigeria?” Oshiomhole questioned.

He added that former President Olusegun Obasanjo had given Atiku considerable authority during their time in office, yet Atiku “failed to use it to strengthen the PDP.”

Atiku officially joined the ADC on Monday, sealing his alignment with the coalition-backed party as political positioning intensifies ahead of 2027.
