Onitsha’s Agwuzani Family Backs Soludo for Re-election

Supreme Court affirms Soludo as APGA’s Governorship candidate

Members of the prominent Agwuzani family in Umuaroli, Onitsha, have declared their unwavering support for Governor Chukwuma Soludo ahead of the November 8 governorship election, praising him for his decisive intervention in recovering 75.5 hectares of ancestral land from longstanding land grabbers. The family lauded the Governor’s development-driven leadership, which has brought significant relief and progress to the people of Onitsha and Anambra State at large.

Speaking to reporters in Awka, Mr. Sunday Ogoazi, the family’s spokesperson, detailed the harrowing legal battle that spanned nearly two decades. “For over 19 years, the land was tied up in court disputes. After the judgment, some trespassers emerged, claiming ownership. It was Governor Soludo’s timely intervention that ended the struggle, and as of today, all land ownership issues have been resolved,” Ogoazi revealed, emphasizing the governor’s commitment to justice and the restoration of rightful property ownership.

Beyond land matters, the Agwuzani family praised Governor Soludo for his visionary infrastructure projects that have transformed Onitsha’s living conditions, highlighting the restoration of pipe-borne water to the city after 25 years of severe scarcity. “Our family originally donated the land on which the Onitsha Water Works was built,” Ogoazi said, “and thanks to Governor Soludo’s revival of this critical project, water now flows steadily in most homes throughout Onitsha North and South local government areas, ending decades of water scarcity.”

Ogoazi credited the governor’s administration for its hands-on, results-oriented governance approach, describing Soludo as “a leader who delivers on his promises.” The family pledged to mobilize massive grassroots support for the governor’s re-election, convinced that his track record and developmental strides make him the best choice to continue advancing Anambra’s prosperity.

Governor Soludo’s tenure has been marked by an impressive series of achievements across infrastructure, education, health, youth empowerment, and security, all within a debt-free framework that ensures sustainable development. The successful land recovery for the Agwuzani family is one of many instances reflecting the administration’s dedication to addressing long-standing community challenges and fostering inclusive progress.

As the November election approaches, the Agwuzani family’s endorsement echoes a broader wave of confidence in Governor Soludo’s leadership, signaling strong community backing for his vision of transforming Anambra into a livable, prosperous, and technologically advanced state.
