NYSC Announces Date for 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Registration

Kidnapped-Corps-Members-Group-Calls-For-Suspension-Of-NYSC-Operations

ABUJA — The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has fixed Monday, September 8, 2025, as the commencement date for the registration of prospective corps members in the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II.

The management of the scheme made the announcement in a statement shared via its official X handle on Thursday.

However, the NYSC did not disclose when the registration exercise will close.

The NYSC, established in 1973 by the military administration of General Yakubu Gowon, remains a mandatory one-year national service program for graduates of tertiary institutions in Nigeria who are below the age of 30.

The scheme was designed as part of post-civil war reconciliation efforts to promote unity, integration, and national development, with corps members deployed to serve in states outside their regions of origin.
