A member of the House of Representatives, Mohammed Bello El-Rufai, has described his father, former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai, as one of the finest administrators despite acknowledging his imperfections.

Bello, who represents Kaduna North Federal Constituency and chairs the House Committee on Banking Regulations, made the remarks in a personally signed statement issued to mark Eid al-Fitr.

In the statement, the lawmaker said he felt compelled to respond to what he described as false claims made by an agency regarding his father, noting the widespread support and goodwill shown toward the former governor.

While admitting that no leader is without flaws, Bello maintained that Nasir El-Rufai is widely regarded as a highly skilled administrator and credited him as a key figure in Kaduna State’s modern development.

He also disclosed that the former governor is in good health and currently focused on completing his writing projects.

Reaffirming his commitment to his constituency, Bello stated that his team has continued to implement initiatives for the people of Kaduna North, while also observing the spiritual period of Ramadan and maintaining close contact with his father.
