0

Vice President Kashim Shettima’s planned representation of President Bola Tinubu at the 2024 US-Africa Business Summit in Dallas, Texas has been altered due to a technical fault with his aircraft.
Following advice from the Presidential Air Fleet, Shettima was compelled to make a detour, resulting in his inability to attend the summit. In his stead, Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf Tuggar will now represent President Tinubu at the summit, while the Vice President will continue with his other national duties.

The summit, held at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Centre, serves as a platform for political and business leaders from Africa, the United States, and beyond to engage in high-level dialogues, networking, and plenaries. Notable attendees include African heads of state such as President Joseph Boakai of Liberia, President Lazarus Chakwera of Malawi, President Joao Lourenço of Angola, President Mokgweetsi E.K. Masisi of Botswana, President José Maria Neves of Cape Verde, and Deputy Prime Minister Nthomeng Majara of Lesotho.
