President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has charged the cadets of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, with justifying the trust and confidence placed in them by Nigerians.

The president, represented by Vice President Kasshim Shettima, made the announcement on Saturday during the 5th Regular Course of the Nigeria Police Academy in Wudil, Kano.

Speaking on the occasion, the president charged the graduating cadets with carrying out their tasks professionally and diligently, while emphasizing the importance of justice, equity, and accountability.

“There has never been a better time to remind you of what is to come. You are leaving here with the commitment and oath to be an unwavering guardian of your Fatherland,” he stated.

He informed them that the current administration was determined to implement steps to effectively address insecurity in the country, stressing that his administration will massively invest in the country’s law enforcement organizations to improve their skills and effectiveness.

The Commandant of the Academy, Sadiq Abubakar, a Deputy Inspector General of Police, stated that the college was founded on March 15, 1998. He stated that the Academy had made the country proud since its beginnings.

He stated that the Academy has relentlessly implemented policies that were changing it into one of the top police training institutes in the region, with the assistance of the Federal Government.

He went on to say that the Academy had done well in meeting its goals, particularly in providing advanced academic and professional training to members of the Nigeria Police Force.
