Tinubu-speaks-on-why-he-removed-fuel-subsidy

According to President Bola Tinubu on Thursday during a ceremony held in his honor by the Lagos state government, keeping the fuel subsidy in place will prevent him from contributing to the nation’s economic collapse.

According to Tinubu, there should never be any excuse for the country’s financial hemorrhaging to continue through the petrol subsidy.

“To fulfill the promise we made to Nigerians throughout his campaign,” he stated, “We will need the necessary resources.

“We need to stem the financial bleeding by ending the unfair exchange regime and fuel subsidies. We have no choice.

“To fulfill our commitments to Nigerians, we must redesign how effectively we control and manage our resources.

“I could have agreed to have a share in the arbitrage’s profits. But God forbid. You didn’t choose me for that.”

The president also promised that Nigerians would continue to witness innovative programs that would help both the young and the aged.

To carry out the renewed hope agenda of his government, Tinubu promised to collaborate with the national legislature and state governors.

The governor of Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, stated his colleagues are backing the current administration’s policies and programs wholeheartedly.

The cooperation of the state governors, according to Sanwo-Olu, is crucial for the realization of the idea of a better Nigeria.
