Senator Sunday Karimi, representing Kogi West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has directed security agencies to arrest and prosecute anyone caught selling fertilizer that he distributed for free to local farmers.
This directive comes after reports emerged that some individuals were allegedly selling the fertilizer in open markets. The Senator urged, “Security agencies should arrest anyone caught selling the fertilizer I distributed to my Constituency with a view to unmasking those behind the satanic crime against Kogi West farmers.”
Senator Karimi emphasized that efforts are underway to provide farmers with additional fertilizer, herbicides, and other necessary support to boost their agricultural productivity. He warned that if the current attempts to undermine these efforts are not addressed, the distributed resources may be wasted with no positive impact on the community.
