Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases exceed 55,000 mark

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, disclosed that Nigeria’s daily confirmed cases on Sunday, September 6, 2020 stood at  100 with three confirmed deaths.

This has moved the tally of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in the country to 55,005 till date.

So far, the NCDC reported that 43,013 patients have been discharged from various isolation centres across the country and there is a total of 10,935 active cases, with 1,057 lives claimed by the virus.

The health agency’s data showed that the new cases were reported in 10 States, with Lagos recording 39 cases, followed by the FCT – 22, Kaduna – 19, Oyo – 7,  Ebonyi – 6, Edo – 3, while Katsina, Ekiti, Bauchi and Nasarawa, all had one case reported.
