Nigeria records 79 new COVID-19 cases, lowest in months

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, disclosed on Sunday, September 13 2020, that Nigeria recorded 79 new cases of coronavirus.

This makes it the lowest figure in several months ever reported and the new cases now bring the number of confirmed infections in the country to 56,256.

Of the new cases, 30 were recorded in Lagos, 17 in Kaduna, 7 in Ogun, 5 in Anambra, 4 in Kano, 3 in Katsina, the FCT and Akwa Ibom, 2 in Oyo and Rivers and 1 case each in Delta, Plateau and Ondo.

44,152 have recovered and been discharged from isolation centers, while 1,082 have died.
