Nigeria records 304 new cases of COVID-19, lowest in two weeks

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, (NCDC) announced the record of 304 fresh cases of the novel coronavirus, the lowest in the last two weeks, bringing its total infections to 44,433.

The NCDC in its daily update of the infection on its verified Twitter handle, @NCDCgov late Tuesday night disclosed that the new cases were reported in Lagos, the Federal Capital Territory and 17 other states of the federation.

The FCT topped the list with 90 new infections, while Lagos reported 59 cases.

Other states with new cases include Ondo with 39 cases, Taraba – 18, Rivers – 17, Borno – 15, Adamawa – 12, Oyo – 11 and Delta – 9.

However, there were states with fewer infections which include Edo – 6, Bauchi, Kwara, Ogun and Osun each having 4 cases, Bayelsa, Plateau and Niger each having 3 cases, Nasarawa – 2, Kano had only 1 case.

Meanwhile, a total of 31,851 people have been discharged and 910 deaths have been recorded.
