New Plateau CP Assumes Duty

A new Commissioner of Police (CP), Emmanuel Olugbemiga Asesina, who was recently posted to Plateau State has assumed duty.

Mr Adesina, who hails from Boluwaduro LGA of Osun State, took over from Mr Hassan Steve Yabanet who has been transferred to the Benue State Police Command.

In a statement, spokesperson of the command, DSP Alabo Alfred, who noted that Mr Adesina was the 45th CP of the Plateau State Police Command, said, “Consequent upon his promotion to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), he was recalled back to Benue State Command in 2016 to restore peace and normalcy to the state due to his valiant personality and vast experience in operations, investigation and administration.

“Upon his promotion to the rank of Commissioner of Police (CP) in December, 2023, he was posted to Benue State Command as CP, from where he was posted to Plateau State command as the 45th CP.”
