NBA threatens legal action against Federal Government, Army over killings of defenceless protesters

The Nigeria Bar Association, NBA, on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, demanded that the military high command should immediately identify those involved in the shooting of defenceless protesters.

A statement signed by its President, Olumide Akpata also said the Association would commence a legal action against the government for the act of brutality on innocent protesters.

The NBA said military would also be joined both in local and at international forum on the violation of the rules of engagement.

The NBA has condemned the killing of peaceful protesters by the soldiers of Nigerian Army.

NBA said it will be immediately taking a decision to decisively deal with the situation and prevent the nation from further going adrift.
