Deacon Dele Adesina, SAN, one of the aspirants at the just concluded elections of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) who contested for the position of President of the Association has written a petition to the Body of Trustees of NBA stating that the election was “an electronic fraud, illegal and unconstitutional”.

The election had already been conducted and concluded following which Olumide Apata was declared winner defeating the duo of Deacon Dele Adesina, SAN, and Dr Ajibade, SAN.

In the petition which was addressed to the Chairman, Board of Trustees of NBA, Adesina laid claim to being one of the builders of the Association and that should give him an edge over some of the god-fathers who came into the NBA, just became involved in its affairs and plunged it into avoidable crisis.

He further stated that his actions regarding the NBA are driven by the interest of the Association and he will hate to see it destroyed.

Adesina, SAN, also alleged that the data in the election results’ monitoring site was programmed to produce a premeditated result and may voters were unfortunately disenfranchised.
