President George Weah (CDC) and former vice president Joseph Boakai (UP), the front-runners in the October 10 first round, will face each other in a run-off election on November 7.

In the election on October 10th, Weah received 43.79% of the total processed votes, compared to Boakai’s 43.49%.

Due to ballot manipulation, NEC announced that the first round would be rerun on October 20 in the counties of Sinoe, Nimba, and Montserrado in the nation’s capital, Monrovia.

Weah defeated Boakai by a margin of 61.5% to 38.5% in the 2017 run-off, but Boakai may win this time given the current trend.
