LASWA, LASEMA officials recovers body of man who jumped into Lekki Lagoon

0

The body of an unnamed man who jumped has been found in the Lekki lagoon, according to LASEMA chairman Dr Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, after he was claimed to have abandoned his dispatch motorcycle close to the spot.

Oke-Osanyintolu stated that the Agency responded to distress calls in the above area and learned from passers-by that an adult guy had plunged into the lagoon.

Attempts to hold him were futile since he bolted and dived into the lagoon.

The event was immediately reported to LASWA officials. The rescue attempt was unsuccessful, and the body of the as-yet unidentified adult male was recovered and bagged by the agency’s LRT while waiting for SEHMU to arrive and evacuate the body from the location.
